Day 11 of the rescue mission for 41 trapped workers in Uttarakhand’s Silkyara tunnel unfolds as the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) gears up for the final phase. The tunnel collapse on November 12 in Uttarkashi district led to this crisis.

NDRF personnel, seen preparing to enter the tunnel, signify the urgency of the situation. The focus has shifted to a critical phase of rescue, captured in images from November 22, 2023.

A significant breakthrough emerged on the tenth day of the operation: glimpses of the trapped workers surfaced via an endoscopic camera. Amidst a collaborative effort among multiple agencies, strategies are in motion to bring these workers to safety.

The administration has initiated a comprehensive five-point plan, aiming to create a rescue tunnel for those ensnared. Vertical drilling, starting from three different hill points, is anticipated to reach the trapped individuals within 2-3 days, as per official estimations.

  3. Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say that you’ve done a very good job with this. Also, the blog loads super fast for me on Chrome. Excellent Blog!
